Storm Shelter Registration
Due to the severe weather activity that we experience in Oklahoma the City of Wewoka would like all of our citizens to be weather aware and have a plan. You can contact the Wewoka Police Department at 257-3366 or Fire Station at 257-5421 to find out where public shelter will be available. If you have a cellar in Wewoka please register it with the Wewoka Fire Department so emergency crews will be able to locate you if needed. Forms to register your cellar will be available at Wewoka City Hall, Wewoka Police Department and Wewoka Fire Department they are also available by clicking here. If you have any questions feel free to contact City Hall.

Seminole Nation

Wewoka, capital of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma, is home to the nationally recognized Seminole Nation Museum.

April Shower Seminole Nation Museum Fundraiser
Daisy Unit Garden Club's "April Shower" fundraiser for the Museum's new landscape will be held at the Seminole Nation Museum, 524 S. Wewoka Ave. in Wewoka on Tuesday April 23rd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Annual Wewoka High School Alumni Art Show
June 17-30, the Seminole Nation Museum will host its annual Wewoka High School Alumni Art Show. The museum's art gallery is being renovated for the June show and viewing by summer visitors.

18th Annual Skyline Blue Grass Festival May 2-4

Plan now to bring the entire family to hear the traditional and lively sounds of bluegrass at the annual Skyline Bluegrass Festival at Wewoka Lake Park. Over 500 music-lovers of all ages will come together to share their music with festival attendees in a family friendly atmosphere. Bluegrass instrument workshops will be available on Friday afternoon and multiple bands will perform daily at the 3-day festival.

Cedar Street Blues & Jazz Festival in Historic Downtown Wewoka

11th annual Cedar Street Blues & Jazz Festival Saturday, June 22nd

This annual event features fun for the entire family from 7:30 PM to 1:00 AM in downtown Wewoka. An evening of live music featuring blues and jazz entertainment from local Oklahoma talent, a wine tasting, bar, Cajun food, a crawfish boil and a spectacular fireworks show at 10:00 PM. Advance tickets are available from the Wewoka Chamber of Commerce and at the entrance gate the day of the event. Bus and motorcoach parking is also available.
